As a parent of 2 kids in the Oberlin Public elementary schools, I value their education tremendously and want to do my part to enhance their experience. My educational background is anchored in World Language (or foreign language) education. I enjoy learning about other languages and cultures and hope to share this love with kids through the Oberlin College students that I train to teach Spanish in our public schools (K-5).

SITES is a very unique, but also a very large and ambitious program. For this reason, I need your help to improve this program and in general, to know how things are going. Please post your comments, feedback and concerns. It is my hope that we can begin a fruitful and encouraging discussion of what it means to teach and learn another language in a country that has so much room for internationalization.

Thanks in advance for your thoughtful contributions to this discussion.
