Will focus of the work of Juan Luis Guerra (DR) and Victor Jarra (Chile)

Oso is quite fond of Victor Jarra and will be performing it in his conjunto andino for his project...would you be interested in joining in?

Barbara to provide resources as to where to find blogs about these thingd (google--> blogsearch, technorati, Bloglines...others?)

For next meeting will have chosen the songs to be analyzed. 2 per artist

2nd meeting: needs to find Victor Jarra songs...can only find lyrics. B to talk to Deborah Campana in the Con Library

Has chosen two JLG songs: Visa para un sueño and .... en bicicleta

If the Victor jarra material does not surface, might consider singing Victor Jarra songs with Oso's group as part of this project

for next meeting: outline the issues that each song discusses, begin to tie them to actual events.
