HISP 305: El blog central

To subscribe to a HISP305 blog's RSS feed:

Go to the blog you want to keep up with and click on the RSS feed icon that appears in the right-hand corner of your browser's location bar. For example:

In Firefox:

Click on the orange icon - Firefox will then prompt you to enter a name and choose a location for the "Live Bookmark" (your Bookmarks Toolbar Folder is a good location for this, but your regular Bookmarks menu will also work well). Clicking on this bookmark will bring up a list of the most recent entries so you can quickly see whether or not anything new has been posted without having to go to the blog itself.

In Safari:

Clicking on the blue RSS icon will automatically bring up an RSS feed window with options down the right-hand side for searching entries, sorting how entries are displayed, and adding a bookmark to your browser.

To automatically receive podcasts from an HISP305 blog using Firefox or Safari:

Right-click (hold down control while clicking if on a Mac) on the "Subscr’bese a este blog" link:

Select Copy Link Location (in Firefox) or Copy Link (in Safari). Open iTunes, go to the Advanced menu, and select Subscribe to Podcast...

Paste the URL into the box, remove "feed:" from the beginning of the address, and click OK.

iTunes should start downloading the latest podcast(s) immediately.
