Well, I for one am happy to see Rocky and Bullwinkle capitalizing on the subversive power of animation to corrupt our nations youth. I definitely noticed the undermining of Cold War politics via the space race escapades, as well as ideologically through Fractured Fairy Tales – the “wishing” segment was a great jab at post-war consumerism.

Wikipedia tells me that the animators actively campaigned to get Moosylvania recognized for statehood. Supposedly they arrived at the White House to speak to JFK about it on the evening of the Cuban Missle Crisis, but they were turned away because Kennedy was presumably busy with slightly more pressing matters. Gotta love animators, though.
