What is the CILC?:
The CILC (located in 324 Peters, on the 3rd floor of Peters Hall) is a language teaching and technology resource center.
We have desktop computers available for classes, small groups, and individual use. We also support all of the smart classrooms in Peters Hall.
We have a growing library of films, books, games, and other resources available for check out (bring your ID!) and for use in our center.
The CILC has two main goals:
- to support the learning of languages and cultures at Oberlin — be they languages taught as part of the formal curriculum, EXCOs, informal conversational get togethers, or self-study, and
- to support the teaching of languages and cultures through ongoing workshops and get-togethers that focus on teaching, technology (when appropriate) and learning in a second language.
