We will be open for business on Monday August 31 at 9 a.m. and open until at least 5 p.m.  During the first week of classes our hours are a bit uncertain until we get our student worker (the labbies) schedule set.

Need to take a placement test for Spanish, French, German, Russian, or Japanese? Click here. Placement tests will be available from 12:01 a.m. on August 31 until 5 p.m. on September 10th. Your placement results will be emailed to you within 24 hours.

The placement tests will be back on, from 1-5 p.m. , on Wednesday August 26th.

The language online placement tests will be turned off at midnight on August 18 and then turned back on again on on August 26th (Wednesday) from 1-5 p.m.

Just as it was this summer, on August 26th the tests will be online. And since Oberlin College has an Honor Code, well, we believe you can and should take the exam anywhere you feel comfortable and can dedicate an hour (without interruption or distraction) to the test.

The exam will be turned off at 5 p.m. on August 26th, so please don’t start the test after 4p.m.

Please only take the test if you want to get in to a class this fall.. Please also know taking the test does not guarantee a spot in the class into which you place.

Placement tests will be available again (and to upperclasspeople too!) during add/drop period.

If you would like to take it in the CILC, please c’mon up to the third floor of Peters and do so. It’s a lovely place.
